Recession be damned, I'll get my toys! I gave a little review of the iPad on my site (www.plastikevol.com/node/120), but to sum it up: it's really fun to draw with. That all of the current crop of art programs are limited compared with what's available for desktops actually makes the process a little more enjoyable.
The trade off is, right now, what little bit of polish I'd built up is completely thrown out the window. These drawings are pretty quick and dirty.
The current sequence, "Collapse!", started as soon as I put the capacitive stylus to the screen. It's been a rush. The art is very rough, but hopefully that doesn't detract too much from the experience. Though it may test the old saying: "a sequence on the web is worth two on a hard drive"
So far as the content, maybe its the ordeal with the Chilean miners or maybe not, but I really wanted to do a sequence set in South America...

Happy Times
Not only do I get the pleasure of releasing the "Fight in the Snow" animation publicly... ...but apparently DeviantArt has given us the ability to limit AI generated art in search results. We'll see how long this lasts, but I'll enjoy browsing like it was 2021 all over again...
Say it ain't so
Tatiana Maslany On Why ‘She-Hulk' Season 2 Marvel Series Is Unlikely (msn.com) I know Marvel/Disney are starting to scale back their TV ambitions, so its not surprising. Also a S2 of She Hulk isn't "dead" just "unlikely". I'm happy we got what we did. I never expected to see a big budget She Hulk show at all, so every new episode was a pleasant turn of events. In lieu of a second season maybe a short film like Werewolf By Night could still happen? I was always of the opinion that She Hulk would make for a great 15 minute animated series on Adult Swim. 2D animation is way cheaper and they really explore all the zaniness of the character.
Now Offering Paper Commissions
Since I've been doing more marker illustrations, I'm comfortable now with offering them as a commission. You too can get a buzz from the alcohol-based markers and ink. The price includes shipping (worldwide, why not?). All other digital commissions are still available as well. https://www.deviantart.com/plastikevol/commission/Physical-Marker-Illustration-1635364
Updated MCU Disney+ rankings
With Secret Invasion wrapped, here's my D+ MCU rankings: WandaVision - came the closest to being above average all the way through. She-Hulk - a hell of a lot of fun. Fell victim to the final episode curse, but at least they were funny about it. Loki - The best series with the worst final episode. Ms Marvel - Rough start but one of the few that ended strong Moon Knight - Solid Secret Invasion - Solid Hawkeye - All MCU D+ shows felt perfunctory, but this is the most perfunctory of them all. What If? - Okay-ish. A downer that seemed more generic with every episode Falcon and Winter Soldier - At least there was one perfect episode but the rest... not so much. In 2022 Marvel figured out how to make a solid TV show in the D+ box. They still haven't netted a great show. There's no "Andor" here. I seriously wonder if they have it in them at this point. I also feel that this era of TV shows with AAA movie budgets and special effects is coming to a close. They have a lot of projects

Read your review, the WYSIWYG possibilities of drawing on the iPad are the real tipping point for me considering one over a netbook or full laptop, but the mixed reviews of that aspect really make me second guess. Might change my mind when the more window-y based tablet PCs arrive.
